Cap with his beautiful Harley.
Next up, Black Widow on a Royal Enfield and Falcon on a Ducati Diavel. (It might take a bit as I’m on overtime this week at work!)
Should I draw all of the Avenger’s with motorcycles?
Threadless just opened a “Dogs” challenge.
Here’s a recent charcoal portrait!
Progress shots after the jump.
Remember that little tree I posted a bit ago? Here’s the rest of the picture to it! This is my awesome wood elf from Skyrim and her fox companion. I altered the armor a bit but everything is pretty true to the game.
I should do a series of cool chicks in cool armor or something.
More old sketchbooks scans! A few summers ago my Chicana lit course went down to the beautiful state of New Mexico to visit places we had read about or that were relevant to the different Chicana authors we studied.
There was a day or two of volunteering with local business’ and schools and one was a animal shelter. Here are just some of the animals we worked with. The nervous looking dog in the second picture was my buddy. I sat with her in her cage for at least a half hour to try and calm her down. The poor dog was so afraid of the others I had to carry her outside. Once it was just her and me though it was night and day, she was hands down the sweetest dog ever and was so relaxed and happy to be outside and away from the racket and smells of the kennels. If I could have taken her home I would have. I really hope she got a good home.
Finally getting my lazy butt around to scanning in some sketchbook stuff! The people sketches are a few months old except for the lady reading which was last weekend? The Heimdall study was right after I saw Thor 2 as he is just plain awesome.
Need something to cover your wall?
Happy Valentines Day! (I’ll fix the background and mess around with text color later as I have work now.)
My old studio buddy Alexis from college just opened up an etsy to sell some work. I have always been jealous of her strong color choices and bold brush strokes, perhaps because I so often get caught up in tiny details. I couldn’t resist getting one. So, sometime soon the lovely piece below, Pocono Woods will adorn my wall.
Go check her out at Alexis Paints.
It just makes me feel calm, I love it. Again, LOOK at those colors.
